Your wedding is coming up and you want your smile to be its brightest. Or maybe you have an important speaking engagement. Whatever the reason, tooth bleaching isn’t just for the movie stars, and it isn’t just for one day. Many people have had their teeth bleached, and probably millions more are thinking about it. The desire for a brighter smile with whiter teeth is very strong, and tooth bleaching safely lightens the color of the teeth, lasting for up to five years. The most effective and safest method of tooth bleaching is dentist-supervised.

Who may benefit from tooth whitening?
Almost everyone. However, there are some cases where the treatment may not be effective. A dentist may determine candidates for the process trough oral examination and diagnosis. The tooth -lightening system is ideal for patients who have healthy teeth, and would like to have a whiter, brighter smile.

How can I whiten my teeth?
You can whiten your teeth in our office, in only ONE-HOUR ( see under “what’s new”) or comfortable and cost effectively, in private, while you sleep or for a few hours during the day.

How does it work?
A whitening gel is placed in a custom made thin bleaching tray that fits over your teeth. As the active ingredients in the gel, carbamide peroxide is broken down, enters the enamel and dentin and bleaches the colored substances. The structure of the tooth is not changed, only the tooth color is made lighter.

How long does it take?
Results are usually seen after the first application. Maximum results generally occur when the process is continued for 10-14 days or nights of treatments.

How long do the results last?
The teeth will always be lighter than they were. However, some patients may need periodic re-whitening for one or two nights every six to twelve months.

Are there any side effects?
Some people experience temporary increased tooth sensitivity to cold during the treatment. These symptoms always disappear within 1-3 days after interruption or completion of the treatment.
